Testimonials

For me, this is the perfect bike. I’ve been riding for over 25 years and have ridden a lot of different bikes, but for my style of riding, the Ryve 115 rocks.

//Mark S.

Just purchased a Ryve 115 29 for my wife. I rate the whole buy experience a ten out of ten.

//John S.

I’ve met the one in the Ryve, a brilliant bike for an aggressive trail/xc rider who occasionally likes to race or do a marathon ride.

EDITORS' CHOICE AND "CLASS LEADER"

"I rode Spot’s 115 on the trails near our Pennsylvania office and in Durango, Colorado. I also gave it to trusted testers to ride and provide feedback as well.

Spot’s Living Link rear suspension doesn’t feel like any other dual-link system. It feels brighter and livelier—like the back end is moving more quickly.

I stopped several times on my first ride to check that shock’s rebound damping was set correctly —it was....

MF TESTED: SPOT RYVE 115 29

“... something became clear from my first start at the local Wednesday night race series: The Ryve carries its momentum flawlessly. As I sprinted out of the saddle away from the starting line up a grassy, long slight incline, the Ryve felt neither squishy nor bogged down in the thick grass, even with its suspension fully open. Instead, it accelerated smoothly and efficiently forward, catapulting me, surprisingly, into the front...

Great Bike

During the pandemic, it was tough to find bike to demo. A few of my friends ride Spot bikes so I was able to ride theirs and try a couple of different frame sizes and component groupings. From those rides, I was sold.

Ordering the bike was easy and the Spot team allowed me to make a couple of small tweaks to the build to suit my preferences. The bike arrived 7 days after I placed my order.

I am not a super aggressive rider, but I find the bike to be the perfect combination of a light cross country race bike and sturdy, nimble trail bike. I would buy this buy again, any time.

New Spot Ryve is THE BEST BIKE I've ever owned!!!

I am in love with this bike! I ride about 4 days a week and like to try lots of bikes. I’m on small at 5’3 and 125 lbs. Most trails I ride are blues and blacks all over Colorado. Most recently I’ve been on the Revel Rascal, Kona Process 153, and all the Juliana bikes (but most recently the Joplin.) I went to Golden and test rode the ‘21 Spot Ryve on the Hayden Green trails there. Different trails than I’m used to, more XC than my more technical Salida trails but this bike absolutely ripped! The first thing I noticed was the small bump absorption. It was the best I‘ve ever felt - on any bike with ANY amount of travel. You don’t even notice going over relatively small stuff that can wear you out on many other bikes. This living link suspension is mind blowing! Also, there is no pedal bob whatsoever. This bike is incredibly efficient. I had the feeling that every bit of my power was directly converted to forward momentum. This bike wants to go! The handling, the agility, everything about the Ryve feels well thought out and absolutely efficient and FUN! This bike pumps so well, is easy to jump and is so fast! I immediately ordered my own Ryve with the 6 star AXS build and I cannot quit talking about the perfection of this bike to all my friends. I’ve never been on a bike I am more excited to ride. It is fast, poppy, maneuverable, cuts a line like a scalpel (but not the p.o.s. cannondale version haha) and can handle all my Salida black trails with ease. I worried this would not…

Great experience with Spot

My overall experience with the spot company could not have been better. They were on top of everything since day 1 of my order. As for the Ryve115 its a very smooth light weight rocket. This bike handles like a dream, I highly recommend it. Thankyou to all the spot bike family for making my shopping experience such a joy!

A bike that makes the entire experience feel easy

The best way to describe the bike is basically a BMX bike with travel in terms of how fun it is. It's a rocket ship on the way up and is super playful and nimble on the downs. I've really enjoyed the bike so far and is a great compliment to the Mayhem. It feels like it has more travel than 115 and 120 and is super fun on small jumps and little hits. It's an awesome bikepacking bike as well if you're into that. I've set downhill and uphill PRs on this bike with how nimble it can be.

Does it handle super chunky rock gardens exceptionally well? No but you aren't buying this type of bike for that. It will still handle that type of terrain fine but as expected it will struggle a bit if you take the wrong line.

I would highly recommend swapping the tires. I had Spot put 2.4 Maxxis Rekon on the rear and 2.4 dissector up front. That makes the bike even more fun on the downs. I personally think this should be the standard tire combo for this bike.

I would highly recommend this bike and it lives up to all expectations.

The holy grail of mountain bikes

I’ve been riding the Ryve 115 for several weeks now. Previously I rode a full suspension XC race bike for years (Specialized S-Works Epic), and decided that it was time to go more plush. I’ve always been a weight weenie since I love climbing uphill, but decided to strike a better balance of a good uphill bike with better performance on the downhill. For the record, I’m 5’11” and 160 lbs.

Holy riding heaven. I got the 6 star SRAM AXS build and it is worth every penny. Oh my goodness, the Ryve surpasses all my expectations. I was worried that since the bike is 1.25lbs heavier than my old bike, that I would notice this on climbs. Nope - in fact it may be faster because the front Fox shock and the living link rear suspension combine to smooth out the rocks and roots that I used to be jarred and pushed around by. The Ryve climbs up and over them like a road grader.

The Bluetooth shifting of the AXS drivetrain is no fad or joke. It is silky smooth and actually allows you to be faster because it’s effortless to shift to a higher gear on short sections where with a traditional cable shifter, it wouldn’t be worth the effort for just several crank rotations. Shifting is precise, no fiddling required. While you can shift under load -as advertised- planning shifts in advance is still good technique.

The Ryve 115 smothers baby heads and rockier downhill sections with a seemingly active suspension that absorbs the hits and lets you focus on the trail in front of you, rather than…
