Don't get this bike unless you want to ride fast and have tons of fun. This things climbs like a goat and descends pretty darn great for it's travel.
I’ve built up my Diggity with a combination of new and old parts from my aging Pivot Mach 429 Trail. That bike has been in my quiver since 2016 and fit me like a favorite pair of jeans. The one thing I wanted in a replacement, was the same pedaling efficiency that bike offered, but with more modern geometry. I can say the Diggity is exactly what I was looking for, and this is with my old 27.5+ wheelset while I wait on my replacement rims to arrive. For what it’s worth, 27.5x2.8” tires fit, but you’ll be at pedal scraping bb height.
The Diggity sprints up climbs but has a snappy yet well damped trail feel on the descents. I also love the overall weight (29 lbs, 8 oz) in an XL size.
I’m overall very pleased having purchased this frame based on spec and a hunch it would work for my needs.
My only critique for the engineers is the front triangle cable routing which lacks internal guides. Running cables is an absolute nightmare as the holes aren’t drilled large enough, or even in the direction the cables exit the frame. I dread any future maintenance involving cable replacement. Other manufacturers are able to offer in-frame guides in the nearly $4k price bracket. Spot should be able to accommodate it, or just fall back and design something like Guerrilla Gravity’s external cable channel design.
I CANNOT say enough good things about SPOT and their team. Jon was phenomenal with his knowledge and customer service when building my custom SPOT Diggity. I got to pick everything…and I mean everything. I am a man of habit and prefer my certain wheels/hubs, brakes, chainrings and cranks. The best part is this was not an inconvenience or burden. There was no guilt or pressure to buy their pre-built platform. It truly seemed like something they really enjoyed. There is no other bike company on the front range that will do this without some kind of race accolades!
It’s also important to note that this was my first full suspension bike in 12 years. I ride quite a bit too! Somewhere between 1000-1500 miles of techy MTB every year. So yes, it was a big deal for me to pick the next bike I would most likely ride for the next 10+ years.
Choosing SPOT was starting to feel like destiny in a way. Numerous people over the last couple months randomly recommended me to them. We’re talking badass people too. People that won the Buff Creek 100km Hundo and the 125 mile Vapor Trail race. Additionally, if you look at their website, you will notice they prioritize their bikes for various routes such as Dakota (a techy double diamond), Enchanted Forrest and White Ranch. All of these routes are the routes I love to ride.
So far so good with my new SPOT Diggity. My body needs to adjust to the new geometry, but I’m confident I’ll be a better rider in no time. The downhill on this…
Great bike. Great company. Have 3 of their bikes and love the geometry and build on each of them. Customer service is top shelf.
Rode the Mayhem 140 for the 2025 bcbr. The bike was fantastic. No regrets and ranked better than expected - up with club/team riders on XC bikes.
This bike climbs like a mini-donkey (lively and full of energy) and descends like a race horse heading to the barn. Setting new PRs on nearly every ride…
Mason with Spot also gave 5 star service!
The Mayhem 140 easily handled climbing over rocks and making tight switchbacks. The descent downhill felt very controlled. I placed an order for one the next day.
Moving from a XC build to the Spot 140 was a big step up for the descents. Yes, it’s heavier, but I find it climbs well and rides like a Cadillac coming down. The impact on confidence to corner, jump, and eat up whatever’s thrown at you can’t be overstated. Super fun!
I'm liking this bike. After a few rides on my new Mayhem 140, the one word that best describes it is efficient. It's efficient on the up's, flat's and the down's. Not only is it efficient, it's fun to ride. Very responsive to rider input and very stable when the trail gets rough. The 160mm Lyrik and the 140mm Super Deluxe Ultimate is a perfect match for the Mayhem. This is the 5th Spot bike that I own and it's becoming my favorite. Which includes the 2022 Mayhem 130 and the 2024 Ryve. Also, Spot's customer service is second to none !
Gen 2 (after150 miles) is proving to be a refined upgrade of my Gen 1 (~4600 miles). Super solid at the pedals, the bottom bracket area is unyeilding; it doesn't deflect or flex across the frame or through the pivots. The entire frame from headtube to bb shell to rear drop outs feels like a unified structure. Super smooth supension that is supportive and supple! Gen 2 pedals great, absolutely awesome in powering through the pedals to hold and build momentum on rough surfaces. Really nice level of control through the range of travel; it is comfortable and absorptive, yet fast and great handling. A soft rocket! My Gen 2 is built with parts from my old Gen 1, including a 2022 Fox 34 SC 120mm travel. This fork is a bit overmatched by the frame. 120 mm is long enough, but 130 would be better. The fork chassis is stiff enough, but a stiffer trail oriented fork would be a better overall match, feeling more in balance with the sollid and smooth frame. I am a semi-fast "medium guy on a Medium frame" XC & marathon rider with podiums in older age groups.... this is a fast race bike for those who use a sort of momentum-surfing style for speed (lacking raw smashing power). A versatile go fast, go far, go nearly anywhere and arrive in the lead kind of XC/trail MTB. Excellent!
never ridden so fast up and had so much fun down!
Two rides in, and I can confirm that this bike is a ripper. it's a riot on the descents. It's a bigger bike than I am used to riding cross country, but climbing traction and agility is excellent. If I could have only one bike, this would be it.
The SPOT 115 is a great bike. Love my new purchase. Has the classic planted solid feel of a SPOT bike without the weight of traditional larger travel. Quick nimble and a very solid ride.
I love my new Spot Mt Bike!
I totally love the opportunity to do a real ride — well over an hour on real authentic mtb/gravel bike terrain. I took a test ride of a Ryve and when I got back I handed them my credit card to buy one. I’m still checking out other gravel bikes, but the Rallye is a darn nice bike — super responsive to power inputs, smooth ride on rougher terrain.
Amazing bike component set up customer service, color scheme, robust overall great company, and bike
Purchased for medium to long gravel hauls and decked out for lite camping. Of course, you'd want to break it in a bit and run it on your local trails before hopping on a weekend ride. It so happens my local trails are a mix of road, gravel, and mountain trails. I started on the road and quickly moved to gravel where it is very much at home.
But then the occasional mountain trail comes along. A bit of steep mixed with loose. Sharp turns with big penalties for not staying locked in. I am really pleased how it handles what I'd usually apply my Rocker to.
Can this be the all-around, one bike for every purpose? Well, that depends. At 55 I am not hucking off of drops, nor would I try on this. But as long as you can stop a 700x45 tire, I'd feel fairly confident the Rallye can handle it. Let me drive that point home: the bike can handle the terrain, but it cannot ignore physics. 200lbs of bike, gear, and rider cannot stop on a steep washout with 45mm tires.
My only regret is that I didn't buy a Rallye sooner! The ability to take it on trails I would previously ride my Mayhem is a testament to the Rallye and the team at Spot.
A great bike to use for commuting, trails and quick zips through the woods. I set it up tubeless with upgraded tires. The only nits to pick would be I really wish it could run wider tires, and the stock small block 8s are pretty trash tires even if you don't want to go bigger. Oh...and mine came with torx bolts for the bottle cages, which was, shall we say, mystifying?
Beautiful bike!
I was worried that the bike I ordered online would not live up to my expectations. I had to wait for quite awhile to get it. When I got my Acme and I opened the container I was taken by the beauty of the bike. I loved the shape of the frame and the smooth wields.
Spot was very nice and included several item to make up for my long wait.
As a seventy nine year old rider I am very old school. My average rides are around 15-20 miles.
I change the stem to raise the handlebars, replaced the petals with ones with straps, added ergonomic grips and a well padded saddle. Now the bike fits and is very comfortable.
After riding for a while I was very happy with the belt drive and internal gears. It’s smooth, quiet and fast. It came together nicely and the bike offers an excellent feel and exciting ride. Thanks Spot!
It’s a fun bike to ride! Thanks to the belt drive it is REALLY quiet too!
Customer service was excellent! The bike is terrific - everything I wanted. Thank you so much!
