I only have one wet and sloppy PNW winter ride on it so far, but I was very impressed. The ride is a lot less harsh than my older aluminum single speed, and the belt drive is great in the rain and mud - no noise or grinding and a lot quicker to clean up afterwards compared to a chain. The most surprising part was when I pointed the bike downhill - I was as fast or faster than on my older 100mm full suspension xc bike on a dry day without really pushing. The 120mm Fox 34 probably deserves a lot of the credit for that, but the rear end was also pretty planted and easy to control, more so that I expected for a hardtail on rough and rocky trails.
The frame quality is amazing, and I particularly like the medium size that I got (which isn't pictured). The top tube and seatstays are in a perfectly straight line from the handlebars to the rear axle, which always looks cool. I also love that Spot included the derailleur hanger dropout as an extra with the single speed bike - I plan on running this bike geared some times, and was super happy that I didn't have to order additional parts to do so!
My only complaint is that the 5 star build's crankset isn't on the same level as every other part on the bike. A lighter, higher end crankset would make the 5-star build perfect!
