Awesome bike!

I only have one wet and sloppy PNW winter ride on it so far, but I was very impressed. The ride is a lot less harsh than my older aluminum single speed, and the belt drive is great in the rain and mud - no noise or grinding and a lot quicker to clean up afterwards compared to a chain. The most surprising part was when I pointed the bike downhill - I was as fast or faster than on my older 100mm full suspension xc bike on a dry day without really pushing. The 120mm Fox 34 probably deserves a lot of the credit for that, but the rear end was also pretty planted and easy to control, more so that I expected for a hardtail on rough and rocky trails.

The frame quality is amazing, and I particularly like the medium size that I got (which isn't pictured). The top tube and seatstays are in a perfectly straight line from the handlebars to the rear axle, which always looks cool. I also love that Spot included the derailleur hanger dropout as an extra with the single speed bike - I plan on running this bike geared some times, and was super happy that I didn't have to order additional parts to do so!

My only complaint is that the 5 star build's crankset isn't on the same level as every other part on the bike. A lighter, higher end crankset would make the 5-star build perfect!

Simple and Fun Bike

6 rides in and loving this bike. Well built frame, good components, and the simple joy of riding a bike without having to think about shifting. Light, snappy, excellent climber, and with modern geometry and dropper descents are fun and in control. Minor thing...would like to see it come with wider rims/tires but that's most due to the rocky and loose terrain around where I ride...easy fix on my part. All in all quite possibly the perfect single speed IMHO. Nice work Spot!

Awesome bike.

Five stars all the way around. Super light. Super responsive. No unnecessary non-sense like derailleurs and gears the complicate and weigh it down. Possibly the perfect bike. Local bike shop workers asking lots questions about where I got this bike...

So far so good...

To give you some background, my local trails are tight twisty singletrack with short ups and downs, no big climbs. Was riding a geared Spec Fuse AL 27.5+ and got the itch for a singlespeed...wound up buying the 5star Rocker 27.5+.

The preorder customer service from Spot was great...quick and helpful. The fit and finish on the Rocker is pretty awesome. I have taken it out a few times now and gotten it dialed in. It climbs great, I can work it through the tight twisty stuff, the components are all smooth, it's nice and light, and the frame/bars/wheels seem to soak up a lot of the trail chatter. It's not a night & day difference from the Fuse, but it feels better in all the right ways! I'm not sure if it's the belt drive, or just a single speed drive in general, but it feels a lot more direct compared to running my geared in a single gear.

I had Spot swap out the rear cog for a 26t (kept the 46t ring up front, and 118t belt). The belt is a fixed length so the rear wheel needs to come back further to pick up the slack from the smaller cog. You can't just remove a chain link. It made me realize that the gearing with the belt drive is tricky. You only have so much adjustment in the chainstay length to tighten the belt, so it may require a new belt and/or new cog+ring to get the gear ratio right......so make sure you know what ratio you want before ordering so you could have Spot set it up with the correct components out of the box. And it also looks like the 46t ring…

Better than expected.

The bike is everything I expected and more.

The belt drive system is very quiet , the gearing is perfect.

I ride lots of single track with rolling hills and rocky terrane with the proper planning I can climb most of the hills that that I did on my Specialized Epic Pro with a 1 x12

Very Lite and Fun to Ride

I chose the middle level build.
