Dream machine!
Easily the best hardtail I’ve ridden in my 35 years of MTB. Single speed rocket!!! Supple yet snappy. Fast and light. Can’t get enough of this thing. I built it with a 130 fork, 60mm stem, 25mm spacer stack.

This new version of the Rocker welcomes revisions that continue the model’s legacy as the most versatile advanced carbon hardtail on the planet. The addition of SRAM T-Type compatibility modernizes the timeless legend, while unchanged geometry numbers ensure the same spirited on-trail personality that Rocker fans appreciate.
Rocker’s all-carbon frame has one of the best strength-to-weight ratios in the industry. We carefully engineered tube shapes and layup patterns to create a super playful ride, offer a low standover height, and accommodate full-length dropper posts for unencumbered maneuverability. The bike takes advantage of longer, slacker geometry, without sacrificing the nimbleness that makes hardtails such sensational handlers.
Short seatstays place the rider’s weight squarely over the rear wheel for uphill traction, with clearance for big tires. And with moderate, intentionally un-endurofied geometry, the Rocker is a beacon for modern hardtail lovers looking for a capable trail machine that perfectly blends the speed and snappiness of a race rocket with a healthy appetite for adventure.
Spot’s patented Kobe 3 Slider Dropouts offer modularity that enable the bike to be swapped between geared and belt-driven single-speed setups in a stiffer, quieter, lighter, more compact and secure design than anything else on the market. With three separately available kits, Rocker V2 can be run with SRAM Transmission, a traditional derailleur, or in full-on masochistic single-speed mode.
The Rocker frame was designed based on detailed analysis and testing, both in the lab and on the trail. The frame shape is driven by a Force-Response design philosophy that maximizes strength and durability, and focuses material in areas where it is most needed. Beefy chainstays handle huge power loads and prevent flex, keeping the belt straight and true when run as a singlespeed. Svelte seatstays provide comfort in the saddle. The large box section downtube streamlines power transfer between the handlebars and pedals, while the trim top tube saves weight, lowers the center of mass, and provides easy stand-over clearance.
The Rocker is a modern hardtail that is light enough to race and burly enough for hard-charging descenders. The roomy reach, relaxed headtube angle and short chainstays create balance and instill the confidence to get after it.
Our patented Kobe Slider Dropouts are the lightest, most compact, and easiest to adjust chain-or belt-drive-optimized sliding dropouts on the market. They offer 15mm of slider throw, an inboard brake mount for better protection, and precise adjustments capabilities for optimal tension.
With clearance for a 29x 2.4" rear tire, the Rocker can be tailored to any terrain and rider preference.
Our Groovy Guides integrate the rear brake line into the tube, providing a clean look while also offering easier access than internal cable routing. Groovy Guides make it easy to service what may be the most important cable on your bike, while also keeping it out of the way and eliminating snags.
We design and test our frames to the highest standards so you can be confident in your investment. Should you have an issue with your Spot frame, we will warranty it against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the frame. Of course there's some fine print (read here), but if you buy a bike and ride it as it is intended to be ridden, we've got your back. And if you do get into a fender-bender, we have a fantastic crash replacement program as well.
Easily the best hardtail I’ve ridden in my 35 years of MTB. Single speed rocket!!! Supple yet snappy. Fast and light. Can’t get enough of this thing. I built it with a 130 fork, 60mm stem, 25mm spacer stack.
I’ve been riding a Pivot 429 trail for the last few years, great bike! But lately I’ve been longing for some hardtail single speed simplicity. Like everyone else, the Hardtail Party review got my attention, but the reviews on this site cemented it for me. I live on the east coast, and I’m a big fan of rocky technical chunk. I was worried how the Rocker would fair on these trails. Fast forward to today, and I feel both faster, and more in control than I did on my FS!!! I absolutely love this bike. I’ve found my riding style meshes perfectly with this single speed, and I love charging everything. I’m honestly shocked at how compliant the rear end is, and I’m hitting gap jumps and techy sections w/ease. Sure my FS is comfortable, but it took away what I had been missing, a connection to the trail that you can only get from a hardtail, and a zippiness that makes you want to hammer everything. I freaking love this bike, and not sure when I will go back to my FS. Maybe never.
About 50 miles in and can't imagine life without it. I'm in moderate shape and still just have a blast on this thing. Yes it's harder but in a doable way. It brings joy back into the grind, I am convinced this is the most satisfying form of biking. Buy it. No need to hesitate.
Having always wanted to try a belt drive I finally pulled the trigger on a new Rocker last month. Fully built up with my existing parts from my old steel SS my new XL Rocker came in at a svelte 20.5 lbs!!! I have been riding a TI and a steel SS for several years and have enjoyed both, so I was hesitant to go carbon due to ride quality. My impressions after back to back 20+ mile 2000+ feet of climbing rides.
1) The power transfer to the rear wheel is incredible... like driving a stick shift rather than a slushy automatic.
2) Intuitive! I always struggle to adapt to new bikes, so I expected that this would be tough, especially with the first race of the Kenda Cup next weekend. I have to say, this is the easiest most predictable bike that I have ever ridden. The bike tracks rally well in tight turns (even as an XL) and I saw my Strava segment times improve by about 3 seconds per minute. Being that I have ridden these segments a million times, this was incredible to me.
3) Yes, it is a little stiffer in the seat stays, but I use a Gravel dropper that gives you about 3/8" (or so) travel when its not locked out, so it was fine.
I love it so much that I just ordered a 150mm Mayhem frame in hopes that their Enduro bike will have some of the handling DNA!!
The 2024 Spot Rocker Single Speed, built to the 6-Star spec with Gates Belt Drive and ZIPP 1ZERO HITOP SW wheels, is a revelation. As a 52-year-old expert rider with 30+ years of experience across various cycling disciplines, I was initially skeptical about getting back on a hardtail. However, this bike quickly won me over with its incredible agility and surprising capability on technical terrain. The geometry seems to match my riding style very well.
At 22 lbs with pedals and cages, the Rocker SS is remarkably light. This translates to fast climbs and a playful feel on the trail. The Gates Belt Drive system is incredibly smooth and quiet, eliminating chain noise and significantly reducing maintenance.
The ZIPP 1ZERO HITOP SW wheels are a standout feature. They are incredibly light and surprisingly compliant, offering a comfortable ride over rough terrain. Combined with the Schwalbe Racing Ralph and Wicked Will tires, which provide excellent traction and cornering grip, the bike feels incredibly fast and efficient.
Highlights:
Exceptional handling: Agile and capable on technical terrain, despite the lack of rear suspension.
Lightweight and efficient: Climbs with ease and feels incredibly fast on the trail.
Quiet and smooth operation: Gates Belt Drive eliminates chain noise and requires minimal maintenance.
High-quality components: ZIPP wheels, Schwalbe tires, and a 6-Star build level ensure top-notch performance and durability.
Overall:
The Spot Rocker Single Speed is a…
