The Living Link™ system re-imagines and reinvents full-suspension technology to provide riders with multiple benefits over conventional systems. Read More
Leaf spring is relaxed. The bike is at rest OR airborne!
Honed on the flowy singletrack of the Colorado alpine and perfected on the punchy spurs of Sedona, the Ryve 115 marries the heart and stamina of a marathon racer with the precision and power of a masterful descender. It's the fastest and most nimble big-loop bike on the market – an upcountry, downcountry, crosscountry-plus speed machine that delivers you deep into rowdy country and gets you home in record time.
Technical climbs have never felt so fun. With 115 mm of finely tuned travel, the Ryve 115 offers unrivaled pedaling performance and efficiency thanks to our patented Living Link suspension platform. Living Link provides both small bump compliance and industry-leading big hit absorption. The steep seat tube angle places you in the most comfortable power position, which means you get to the top faster with less effort.
The Ryve 115 is a rocket on the descents as well, thanks to a torsionally and laterally stiff chassis with long and slack geometry, enhancing your control and enabling you to harness the forces of gravity for full-throttle fun. We also stiffened the front end with an upsized fork to give you even more confidence when tearing through choppy terrain. In short, this bike goes to 11.
The secret to the Ryve's speed is our patented Living Link suspension platform. With its leaf spring lower link that stores energy and releases it when you need it most, the Ryve tracks better on the climbs and descents. Living Link has won widespread accolades, and we've refined it in this latest generation. Our new leaf spring mounting system provides more lateral and torsional stiffness. It's also one of the lowest maintenance suspension platforms on the planet by design.
For extra stiffness and durability, we designed a new rocker link with larger bearings and thru-axle pivots. We also moved the lower shock mount higher on the downtube for extra stiffness. That means that the Ryve 115 rides smooth, tracks straight, and carves hard. We also shortened the seat tube to enable longer dropper post insertion.
If you're a race-motivated hardtail rider seeking an efficient climbing bike that enables you to go full throttle on descents, the Ryve 115 is for you. If you're a big bike rider or enduro athlete who wants a lighter and more playful rig for after work hot laps or weekend summit assaults, the Ryve 115 will shrink your climbs by an order of magnitude and leave you amazed by its balance and poise in the air and while descending.
With its unrivaled pedaling performance and downhill carving chops, the Ryve 115 feels like an extension of your body. Our staff unofficially call it the mini-Mayhem – a nod to our acclaimed bigger travel bikes – due to its confident demeanor over the roughest lines. The Ryve 115 is your passport to rowdy country.
The beating heart of the Ryve’s ride performance is the titanium leaf spring technology that has won our patented Living Link™ suspension platform numerous accolades and awards. At rest (or when airborne), the Living Link™ leaf spring is relaxed. As the suspension compresses, the leaf spring begins to flex, supporting the rider and widening the sag sweet spot. As the leaf spring continues to flex it stores energy that assists the system’s compression until, at full-bottom-out and maximum compression, it returns to a relaxed state. As the bike’s suspension enters its rebound phase, the leaf spring goes from relaxed to partially flexed, storing and controlling rebound energy. Midway through the rebound, the leaf spring is fully flexed, a position in which it is fully loaded up with rebound energy. As the rebound continues toward its relaxed state, it releases that stored energy. Consider it a boost of superpower when you most need it on long technical climbs.
The animation above helps to visualize the special qualities of Living Link™ and its ability to store and release energy that boosts pedaling performance.
Living Link™ also addresses a flaw of typical suspension systems: lateral and torsional flex. The titanium leaf spring, which is manufactured locally by a Colorado aerospace components manufacturer, is extremely stiff laterally and firm torsionally. Think about a metal ruler. You can easily bend it with your hands across its flat surface. Now tip that ruler on edge and try to bend it. No chance. The titanium leaf spring, acting as a shear plate, works the same way. It promotes and harnesses flex vertically and prevents it laterally and torsionally. This unique leaf spring technology is paired with a carefully developed, painstakingly iterated carbon fiber laminate structure to lend uniform torsional and lateral frame flex behavior. Enough stiffness for confident handling and great power transfer, but enough sensitivity to stick to those hairball off-camber corners. Yeah, like we said, superpowered.
Let’s be honest, most modern suspension systems are pretty good—when brand new. But their ride quality quickly fades under real world riding. Not so with Living Link™, which reduces wear and tear by eliminating the most problematic set of bearings in typical multi-link bikes and replacing it with one titanium piece. That magical leaf spring means less maintenance, lighter weight, and one less pivot to impede efficiency. We love mechanics, but this suspension allows you to stay on the trail and out of the shop for many seasons of adventure.
The Living Link™ leaf spring is manufactured to maintain the strictest QC. And we use the same precise molding and CNC machining employed in the manufacture of ballistic military helmets and high-tech prostheses. This use of cutting-edge materials and carefully controlled manufacturing processes results in a leaf spring that can support the weight of two full size pickups. That’s pretty damn tough. So tough that we tested it in the laboratory to ten million flex cycles without failure. That’s the equivalent of riding 7 days a week for 42 years. That’s some serious muscle.
The Ryve 115’s DoppelBox lower shock mount has a double box structure for increased frame strength and stiffness that centralizes mass lower on the frame. Two inner walls boost torsional stiffness between the headtube and bottom bracket, transferring shock forces along the inside walls. This design protects the shock bushing by enabling moisture and trail grit to freely exit the frame, providing improved bushing longevity.
The Living Link™ also improves riding efficiency. It does so by enhancing the spring curve in the mid-stroke of the suspension travel. How? By working in tandem with the shock’s air spring to make the overall curve more linear in the middle of its travel. A more linear curve increases the suspension response in the mid stroke, where a bike spends most of its time. We’ve increased the overall linkage progression by 25%. Softer off the top, more bottomless at bottom-out, and the same great supportive, responsive feel in the mid stroke. It’s simply a higher quality ride experience than any other suspension technology on the market.
We are proud to live, work and play in the Rocky Mountains. The riding here is technical and rocky and aggressive. For riders of the Ryve, that means your Living Link™ system has been battle tested on epic trails. We fine-tuned the Living Link™ to handle all the nastiness that the Rockies can dish out—both uphill and down.
It delivers precision control on rowdy descents and gluey traction on technical climbs. That is a rare feat for other rear suspension systems on the market, which are designed to rely on their shock lockout modes to assist climbing. The Living Link™ system was designed with an anti-squat response, which enables the rider to climb efficiently with the shock wide open. In addition, the kinematics of the suspension system provide a large pedaling sweet spot. The end game: you will ride more confidently both up and down. On other suspension systems, pedaling performance is compromised if the shock pressure is too high or too low. Not so with Living Link™. It delivers efficient acceleration in a large range of suspension sag settings. Riders who like it super firm, as well as those who like it plush, are all rewarded with a bike that climbs like a goat with its tail on fire. We accomplish this holy grail of climbing efficiency and descending performance by finely tuning the leverage ratio curve to work harmoniously with high quality air shocks.
The Ryve frame and its components are constructed using the most advanced processes in the composites industry. Instead of outdated tube-to-tube or conventional bladder molding, our carbon construction facility fabricates each frame using a rigid EPS foam mandrel. The mandrel is custom formed for the Ryve, and its parts are shaped in a bespoke mold that represents the shape of the volume contained within the part. The carbon fiber plies are arranged precisely on the mandrel. This technique ensures that nothing can move out of position when the mandrel and layup are inserted into the curing mold.
During the curing process the EPS foam expands uniformly, creating outward pressure on the carbon plies. The foam ensures even distribution of compaction forces on the layup throughout the part. This prevents voids and delamination. The control and consistency of this approach are unrivaled. The benefits of the highest-end materials and our superior construction methods ensure that each Ryve frame delivers years of performance and quality. Our production facility works for some of the best names in high-end bikes. We feel so strongly about our frame durability that we back every Ryve frame with a lifetime warranty.
The Ryve’s frame geometry is advanced. We designed the bike to place the rider’s weight precisely between the front and rear wheels. We accomplish this by extending the measurement between the bottom bracket and front axle. A roomy front center creates a stable ride, and mistakes are less consequential. The seat tube has been steepened accordingly, as this helps keep the rider’s weight between the wheels. This geometry eliminates front-end lift and makes technical terrain easier to conquer. All of this means you spend less energy balancing your bike, allowing you to feel fresh and juiced up for those bursts of power that allow you to drop your buddies.
The steep seat tube angle of the Ryve has descending benefits as well. Equipped with a dropper seat post, the Ryve positions the seat farther forward in the dropped position. This gives you more room to move on difficult descents, placing you in an optimal position for more aggressive riding. You can personalize your seat angle by simply moving your saddle forward or back.
While people range vastly in height, weight, leg length, and other physical measurements, most mountain bikes do not scale accordingly. The Ryve provides a better size range. The seat tube angles progressively steepen from size medium through XL, which brings the tall rider’s center of gravity forward on climbs.
On the other end of the spectrum, all sizes of our frames feature a low stand-over height that allows men and women with shorter inseams to find a perfect fit. We don’t skimp on the amenities for smaller riders, either. Some small frames from other brands have no space for a water bottle.
Our small Ryve frame has space for a medium water bottle within the front triangle. That’s great for riders who like to bust out light and fast without a pack.
To achieve the Ryve's incredible on-trail performance, design details matter. For example the carbon Rocker link on the shock is ultra-light and stiff, utilizing a trunnion mount for a compact and tidy design that delivers improved performance. Spot’s trunnion bearings are optimized for high-rotation applications. That means they reduce friction and deliver heightened small-bump sensitivity—while also giving you a vastly longer service life than traditional bushings. The upper pivot now features a hollow tubular bridge section, loaded with the same beefed up double row bearings as the lower pivot and tied together with a one-piece through axle to elevate control and add extra toughness.
We designed the brake mounts to transfer braking forces into the chainstay, allowing us to lighten the seatstay. And we positioned the mounts to protect the caliper and hose. By incorporating the mount into one machined part with the axle bore and dropout, brake alignment remains true while reducing threaded holes in the frame.
We design and test our frames to the highest standards so you can be confident in your investment. Should you have an issue with your Spot frame, we will warranty it against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the frame. Of course there's some fine print (read here), but if you buy a bike and ride it as it is intended to be ridden, we've got your back. And if you do get into a fender-bender, we have a fantastic crash replacement program as well.
Coming from the Spot Rocker SS, this is a rig that flows over the terrain and has no bounce. I look forward to challenging bigger climbs, steeper descents, and flow trails to the beauty!
I took several years off riding and got back into at a regular basis, decided it was finally time to go full suspension. I've always have been a steel is real person and been riding a Moots since '13 and had other steel and titanium bikes before. Looked into a soft tail to take the edge off and was talking to friend that rides a Mayhem 130, he told me to look into this bike. After a talk with Mason, I ordered it. I will admit this bike is fun to ride! Totally to the edge off that I wanted!! I'm able to go faster through the trails than before and did not lose any climbing speed. Never realized you can change your line on a full suspension and it will roll through it.
I’ve been on a 2018 Rocky Mountain Element — as high end as I could realistically make the bike. It weighs in at 24 lbs even, with pedals and bottle cages. After 6 years I got the jones for a new bike — test rode a top of the line 2024 Santa Cruz Blur (XX Transmission). It did nothing for me that my Element wasn’t doing. Then I test rode the Spot Ryve 115 (6 star AXS build) and was so impressed by both descending and climbing, so ordered on the Spot (pun intended). Despite an almost 4 pounds added by the time the Ryve has pedals and a bottle cages, it climbs faster and clearly takes the power I put into the pedals and puts more of into the back wheel than the Element did. The way the front and rear suspension work together is just a joy. Certain technical sections on my local trails that felt like it killed the Element or Blurs momentum no longer do that as I power through on the Spot. It’s no surprise the Ryve is laterally stiffer than the Element (or Blur)
I was able to ride right from the shop on the Ryve 115 and test out the bike on real trails. 2 miles up the road, roll off onto some singletrack, ride for an hour, roll back to the shop. Whipped out my credit card and bought a Ryve. It was great!
Really enjoying the Ryve v2. Was not able to test ride before buying, but was intrigued by the idea behind the leaf spring. Customer service was fantastic at answering questions. Had my first good weekend on it in western NC. While it was a little under biked on some bigger trails, it was a blast on all the others. Great pedaling bike and goes downhill well. Great bike to handle big days and looking forward to tons more miles.
