Steve Gerritsen

Been riding SS for ~20 years.

What a great bike. Pedal efficiency, great look, smooth cornering. Couldn't be happier. It is a very noticable improvement to my former SS bike. So happy I pulled the trigger and purchased the SPOT. I am a new happy customer. Just starred the next phase of life in retirement with a new friend.

Lastly, thank you Spot team for expediting my build to bring the bike to our summer home in Northern Michigan. The bikes eats this place up. Wonderful trails.

So good.

It's fun running everything over and blowing by people on this rally truck of a SS. It climbs great to, but it's a beast on the downhills.

A wonderful jump to the modern day

This is for the V1 Rocker and my issues may have been fixed with the new V2.

After the chain tensioning system failed on my 2010 Stump Jumper SS I was in the market for a new carbon SS with all the new bells and whistles. I was looking for a fun trail bike that would also hold up in some competitive races for the coming season. I picked up the bike from the store in December and rode it a few times in Grand Junction/Fruita just to hit some dirt and see what it's about and wow I was impressed!

This bike is super fun and responsive. The geometry makes for easier(as much as there can be) climbing and it flexes nicely with high amounts of torque. On the downhill, I found myself slightly over-biked because this thing just wanted to go! At higher speeds (which I'm not yet comfortable with) the bike really comes alive and wants to go harder and faster. It's nimble and responsive both up and downhill. Through and through I'm very impressed with this bike.

When buying I called the store because I had several questions and a few things I wanted to change which weren't offered online. In particular, I didn't want the belt drive system as I have a full set of 17t-23t cogs and at the time the 5-star build came with a Stan's wheelset and I wanted an i9 wheelset. They were super friendly and just as stoked as I was and willing to change the build to my request.

Now with a chain and not a belt drive here is my only complaint about the bike. The chain slap is pretty bad. Historically I…
