Whether you’re an occasional cyclist looking for a stylish and low-maintenance ride for weekend adventures or an experienced rider seeking a speedy and clean commuting machine, the Acme offers best-in-class performance and reliability in one sexy package. Just get on and go.
It’s no secret that the hunched-over geometry of road bikes alienates some cyclists. We designed the Acme to hum along at road speeds while also allowing you to truly enjoy the long ride. It’s a Mercedes on two wheels, with gently swooping curves that convey understated elegance.
At the heart of the Acme’s high performance is the most advanced, reliable—and clean--drivetrain on the market: An internal 11-speed Shimano Alfine hub mated to a smooth and strong Gates belt drive designed by Wayne Lumpkin, one of the bike industry’s great innovators of the past two decades. Chains and derailleurs are great, but for people who don’t want to get their hands dirty, or who need a no-fuss all-weather commuter, they can be a greasy time suck.
The Acme is lighter and faster than most city bikes, and it features mounts for racks, fenders and a kickstand for optimal customization. Acme means “highest,” and this bike is the apex of modern urban riding: a finely tuned mix of precision engineering, style, innovation and speed. Rediscover the joy of cycling.
Next-generation Carbon Drive System. Unique, super-strong, carbon-reinforced polyurethane system that requires no lube and provides a nearly silent ride. CenterTrack is stronger, lighter, more compact, and better at shedding debris than the prior Gates systems.
Super-high quality with simple shifting and low maintenance providing a 409% gear range.
Automatically charges lights connected to the front hub via internal routing in carbon fork. Lights not included.
Proprietary, shaped, butted and tapered frame tubes designed for optimum strength, comfort, and durability. Lightweight aluminum tubing with precise tubing configurations for each frame size, results in a smooth and stable ride. Advanced performance styling of seat stays, top tube and down tube, in conjunction with finely tuned geometry deliver an astonishingly nimble ride in the urban environment.
Our newly designed all carbon fork rides smooth, yet is stronger and lighter that its predecessor. Steering is precise with the tapered carbon fiber steerer tube. Perhaps the highest performing street fork on the market.
Newly-designed frame and fork accommodate full fenders and racks, for urban versatility and utility.
We design and test our frames to the highest standards so you can be confident in your investment. Should you have an issue with your Spot frame, we will warranty it against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the frame. Of course there's some fine print (read here), but if you buy a bike and ride it as it is intended to be ridden, we've got your back. And if you do get into a fender-bender, we have a fantastic crash replacement program as well.

I’ve been a serious road cyclist for nearly sixty years and needed a comfortable ride for casual cycling with my wife and grandchildren. I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase. This is a beautiful machine. The comfort, ease of maintenance and the 11 speed alfine shifting makes it a pleasure to ride throughout the varied and hilly terrain we live in. I had to change out the saddle, not unexpected, and upgrade to ergon grips. Other than that, the Acme is good to go out of the box.
I'm thoroughly satisfied with my new Acme. It looks and feels like an expensive bike. Simple to assemble and everything was adjusted well. I'm completely satisfied with my Acme right out of the box. The quality of components is high all-around. Every aspect of the functionality and ride is perfect. This is a great choice for a gravel/commuter bike at it's price. If I could criticize anything, it would only be how narrow the saddle is. Its 140mm, which doesn't work for my 210 pound frame. Maybe offer seat width options? Otherwise, excellent bike.
Based in the UK I took the risk of buying this on the strength of reviews and after paying excessive import tax I was not disappointed
If you could I’d have given the review a 4.5 as I think it could do with slightly wider wheel rims but they’re useable. I managed to fit 40C gravel tyres but don’t think there’s any room for anything bigger.
Sing this for packtafting and I have quick release front and rear racks so can transition between bike and load carrier quickly.
Stability fine when loaded.
The 11 speed hub gears are smooth and the belt drive is great for pack rafting as it doesn’t matter if it gets wet and there is no oil to mess up your boat.
I’ve had many bikes over the years but I am now definitely a belt drive convert.
Size: 60 cm ACME, Rider: 62 yo, 6'-3", 215 lb, 34.75" inseam, Desired riding position: back 60 degrees to horizontal for comfort and ease of viewing surroundings. My ACME is a pleasure to ride after completing stem and handlebar changes to achieve my desired more upright riding position. The bike came set up with what I describe as an aggressive fitness riding posture. It was more aggressive than I expected, based on it being characterized as a city/commuter bike . I assumed those terms translated to a more upright, take-in-the-surroundings, riding position. I was wrong and thought I might have made a costly mistake when I discovered that fiberglass steering tubes are not designed to accept steering tube extensions. A lot of searching and a few equipment trials got me to a solution that included a short stem and a handlebar with a 136 mm rise and 15 degree back sweep (Shimano Roll Handlebar). This combination places the top of my handlebar grIps about level with my seat. I was pleasantly surprised that I was just (barely) able to install the two without need for longer hydraulic brake lines or longer shifter cable. Upgrades: Ergon grips, Shimano PD-EF 202 Flat Pedals. The Alfine "NO PEDALING!" gear shifting reminds me of learning to drive a stick shift car. A shift SMOOTH as silk when done as intended, and CLUNKY when one attempts to shift while applying any pressure to the pedals. This is especially true while riding uphill. I would encourage Spot to add images of…
