Great experience

Excellent demo opportunity! Terrain challenging enough to test out the bike's capabilities a short ride from the Spot HQ. Spot crew was easy to deal with. Practically free to demo. What more can I say? I bought the frame!

The opportunity to test ride the bike without laying out half a day's wages is not common anymore. Thanks Spot for giving me the opportunity... it's what closed the deal.

The Best Keeps Getting Better

Just finished break in miles on my 3rd generation Mayhem and the Spot engineering team knows what to tinker with and what to leave alone! Perfect balance of frame geometry and components to assure the most versatile trail bike made and puts every watt of output directly into moving the bike forward. This bike rips and is super comfortable, plus look great.

Mayhem 130 Gen2 Frame

I recently purchased this frame after riding the Mayhem Gen1 for the Iast 6 years. As this would be my first bike build from the frame up, I had quite a few questions. The SPOT Team were more than gracious to give their time and provide the answers I needed. Also just as important is the design of the frame which is geared towards being maintenance friendly. Specifically the internal conduits for the dropper and derailleur cables, as well as the guide on the down tube for the rear brake cable gave the bike a nice anesthetic, and made cabling hassle free.

Now to the ride experience. I was initially concerned that something would disappoint me on the ride quality given that I couldn't find much fault with the Gen1 Mayhem. I can say that the steeper STA, and slacker HTA improves the bike's character, while keeping the Mayhem's familiar feel intact.

I'm very happy with my purchase and confident that I will enjoy riding the Gen2 Mayhem for many years to come.

Easier Rider!

I am shocked by the advancement in mountain bike technology I’ve been missing while wearing out my 20+ year old Specialized Enduro Expert! Easier to pedal, tighter turns more doable. And the drop seat post!!!! Front brake disc has an annoying wobble/friction noise when braking lightly. Love the wider handlebar. Won’t miss having to shift the front sprocket ever again!
